Highlights of Sanya, day two

Hearing about Hainan Island from our bunk mates at the hostel

meeting up with other girls from another ILP group

figuring out the bus system so we could get to the island, the second bus had a bit of a hiccup when the fee was 8 yuan and not 2. Good thing i had my Chinese cell phone so we could call Rainey before they kicked us off.. I'm SO grateful the Chinese have patience with our Chinese language ignorance.

pulling up to the water, and thinking that was the island, but then realizing this was just the ferry dock. whew!

riding the ferry! I've never been a more topsy turvy boat before! Good thing none of us are too prone to sea sickness.

seeing the gorgeous white sand

finding a random bird observatory on our walk through the island

deciding to walk up this strenuous long exhausting hill, but being VERY grateful we did once we realized we had found the most beautiful outlook of the ocean. Nothing but sea all the way around. It was incredible! and so very peaceful.

being able to write and ponder and pray at this said spot.

walking another uknown route and finding the beatiful gazebo and more white sand.

going on top of an old ship dock by myself, and seeing a giant shark/fish in the clear water.

trying my first star fruit! it kinda tasted like an unripe kiwi. my allergies weren't too keen on it either.

almost missing the last ferry

getting the taxi driver to go down 500 yuan so we could get home cheaply.. since we did miss the last bus.

getting gussied up to go out and find ourselves a pizza hut.

being pointed in every which direction, and finding an ice cream place right before we gave up.

dividing our dinner into three perfect stuffed crust pizza slices... yum!!

shopping! & getting some good deals on much needed sun dress's. (except i got cheated on my cute knitted cover up. He never put it in my bag so i had to search around our hostel for one.)

finding the hopefully perfect gift for Jeremy's mama

and once again sitting out in the cool night air to talk to that one handsome guy :)
