THANKFUL thursday.

I realize I forgot to do one of these last week, my apologizes. I do have a lot to be grateful for. I always do. No matter what happens, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. And, I am grateful for that fact alone.

okay, here we go.

1. I am thankful for my Grandpa. He passed away this Tuesday, and though I miss him.. I know that he is happy. And that he is with my beautiful Grandma.

2. And because I know this, I am thankful for the church. For the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so glad to know what happens after death, and to be filled with peace when the bound to happen, finally does. I really do love being LDS.

3. I am thankful for understanding. To me, this really is the greatest gift someone can give another. I want to be understood for all of who I am. But that doesn't mean I want you to let me continue on my rotten path. I want to be better, we all do. I just want to be understood first. Ya know? Even by my own self.

4. I am thankful for Lent. Trev and I are observing it this year, we try every year to do it. I really like it. This year Trev is giving up meats, and I'm giving up Facebook, and thinking bad thoughts about myself. So, instead of these things, we will think of Christ, and of good things. Its a fourty day fast from your personal vice, or bad habits. It's not meant to be easy.

5. I am thankful for the long vacation I got to spend in Florida. For getting to know my family there, A LOT  better, for being able to enjoy the perfect weather, for going to Disney's Epcot, and for long conversations that inspired and lifted me. I love my family. They are so educated, spiritual, and funny. :)

6. I am thankful for opportunities to learn and understand emotions. Whether it be through conversation, reading, or personal meditation, it makes a big difference to me.

7. I am thankful for working with Lucy. She is a lady I tend to who is suffering from a disease that makes her forget almost everything. She is a sweet lady, and I am learning a lot from her. One day I'll tell you all about her. I think she can teach us a little bit about a lot of things.

8. I am thankful for good literature and films. I recently watched a film called Nikolas Nicklby, a film based off of a book written by Charles Dickens. It was phenomenal, and I think you should all go straight to your instant watch on Netflix and check it out. :) and while your at it, watch A Town Called Panic.

9. I am thankful for Emerald City Smoothies. Every time I am sad, the always have the cure. My all time favourite is their Sunrise..something. with granola of course. :)

10. and, I am EXTREMELY thankful for my dear friend Trevor. Trevor and I have been friends since the beginning of time, or so it seems. And ever since then, we have had a golden relationship. We understand each other on a level I'm not sure we even understand. He saves me from myself. I think he has taught me more about life, and those "unanswered questions" then anyone else I know. I can remember countless times we've sat for hours having conversations that could inspire even the darkest of hearts. He has a magnificent mind, but an even better heart. Trevor is real, genuine. A true friend. He has been through a lot, and understands even more. He is hilarious beyond belief, and has this intense way of helping teach you things you need personally. He is, amazing, for lack of words. I can honestly say my life wouldn't be complete without this kid. I love him sooo much, and I would do anything for him. Friends forever? :)
