THANKFUL THURSDAY

Before I begin thankful Thursdays, i want to let you know that i was reading in a book this past week, and found out that president Lincoln dedicated Thursdays as prayer days, during the war. Cool right? Shall continue on in so great a cause? :)

1. I am thankful for my roommate Janelle. She keeps me laughing even when I'm super frustrated or hurt. She is so rad its ridiculous. she also shares with me, daily, her chocolates and animal crackers. :)

2. I am thankful for prayer. I know without a shadow of a doubt I wouldn't have been able to make it through this week in such great spirits, if it weren't for prayer.  Prayer works. It amazes me that we sometimes think we can go days without it. This isn't so. We need Him in everything that we do. As our constant companion. And the best part? He is ALWAYS willing to be there. :)

3. I am thankful for farewells. Because that means another worthy young man, another friend of mine, another missionary for the Lord, is setting out to do the right thing. And also, they provide for the most spiritual experiences as they bid adue, and leave us with their incredible testimonies.

4. I am thankful for baking. Something about it makes me feel so happy!I feel right at home. :) I love being able to share something I love with so many people. Even if Russia does make my cookies taste like pancakes.... :)

5. I am thankful for when the internet used to work on my computer. Things were so much easier back in those good ol' days.. ;) seriously though..

6. I am thankful that my mom has such an awesome job. It takes up a lot of her time, and makes her exhausted.. but its so good for our family. She is a hero in my book for working the way she does, for all of us. I love her!

7. I am thankful that there is a boy at my school who looks like my brother Evan. Every time I see him I get this sweet reminder of how cool my little bro is. :) I just can't wait to see that kid!

8. I am thankful for my window. At night, when the lights are off, I can turn to my side and have the perfect view of the sky. Granted its not my clear St. George sky.. but there is something about the polluted purple Moscow sky that has its own beauty. :)

9. I am thankful for women who love their bodies. Its a rare find now-a-days. But when you find them, they are golden.

10. And last but most surely not least, I am thankful for my daddy. I miss him a lot. I miss his warm hands and his nice smile. He really is so handsome and great. :)
