I was talking to one of my friends, Katrina, and she was talking about her cute blog and how she never knows what to write.. So we came up with a plan to help us write in our blogs atleast once a week. A dedicated time to look back on our week and express what good there was, and how grateful we are for it all. So without further adue we introduce to you :
THANKFUL THURSDAYS!
- I am first and fore most, thankful for The Spirit. It has, on numerous accounts, blessed me, inspired me, and lifted me up. I know that without The Spirit I wouldn't be able to make it through this life in one piece. My only wish now is that I can bring it to as many others as possible. Its in the recognition and honesty of The Spirit, where people can really feel Christs love.
- I am thankful for my family back home. I am a typical teen, and half the time couldn't stand being around them.. But now I miss them more than ever, and can't wait to hang out with all their quirky irristable personalities again. :)
- I am thankful for my friends. I know everyone thinks they have the best lot of friends.. But thats only because they haven't met mine! I really and honestly believe that I am the luckiest girl in the world because of them. And I can't WAIT to be back home again with them. where I belong. :)
- I am thankful for music. aaahh, music is everywhere! How wonderful! I think it would be the most wonderful thing to be a conductor, so that with the lift of my hand you could hear the cello's play a sweet melody or the choir sing "hallelujah!"
- I am thankful for stickers. They are just the funnest things! I currently have three favourites. One of piglet, which is on my ipod. and one of a sail boat that lives on my computer. And Dumbo, who says, "I miss you." They keep me smiling sometimes. :)
- I am thankful for reading the scriptures. Once you make it a habit, it seems every time you have down time, you reach for them. They can bring you so much solace.
- I am thankful for songs that remind me of people I love. Especially when you hear them randomly, and instantly floods of memories start pouring in. :)
- I am thankful for my roommates. I know they are part of the reason I am supposed to be here.
- I am thankful for modest women. Today I was in the lunch room, and there was a teacher with a see-through shirt on, and you could clearly see her black bra.. she is a TEACHER. for elementary students. :/ Its good to know when I get home, I will be surrounded by women who tend to their bodies as something special, and of great worth. :)
- I am thankful for peanut butter! and I'm praying our four months supply doesn't come short... haha :)
- I am thankful for the moon. Last night I layed in bed around three in the morning, and i could perfectly see the moon out of my window.. it was such a still moment.
- I am thankful for fall! Ah, there is something about back yard BBQ's, football, sweat shirts, lots of family and food, and the colours that just makes my insides jump for pure joy! :D
- I am thankful for true love.
- I am thankful for ice cream. :) I am ALWAYS thankful for ice cream ;)
- I am thankful that one of my students looks like Caillou the cartoon. haha :D "rosie?"
