On Friday night, in the tabernacle, my friend Adam had a farewell organ concert, and invited some of his other friends to sing some songs, including lucky me.
The night was fantastic! Listening to Adam play his organ is SUCH a refreshing activity. He has SO much passion for the art, and you can see it in the way he touches his instrument, in the way he closes his eyes with reverence when he's finished a song, and in the way he beams just talking about it. Its quite the beautiful sight. Even if your not too much of an organ fan. :)
Along with Adam, my two absolutely incredible friends Amber, and Jadon sang a few numbers as well. I wish I had the recording of them, because you all would fall out of your seats it was so beautiful! Jadon sang "if i never knew you" from Pocahontas, and "Wild horses" orginially done by the Rolling Stones. And Amber did "I dreamed a dream" from the musical Les miserbles. Then they both did a beautiful duet of "You'll be in my heart." from Tarzan.
Man, it was breath taking.
As Adams closing number he invited a few more friends and we sang a song called "In Remembrance." (Which is the song a group of us took to state two years ago in Madrigals.) It was so wonderful being able to sing with all of them again. But, it made me remember how drastically bad I'm going to miss it, come this December when everyone is off on their missions and there is nobody left to do our annual volunteer Christmas trip around St. George...
Nonetheless, it was a beautiful evening. Topped with playing in the fountain, seeing beautiful friends, and a glorious sunset.
Life is good.

[don't worry, they had plenty of fun, their just worn out now.]

[Evidence that John was the only one to come play in the fountain with me.]
